Founder
Alban Bassuet is an internationally recognized venue and installation designer, planner and acoustician. He's an associate principal at the design and engineering firm Arup, where he started in 2000. He has created the venue concepts and designed the acoustics of some of the most innovative venues in the world such as the new Greek National Opera House, Le Rosey Concert Hall in Switzerland or the Recital Hall at the Tippet Rise Art Center. Recognized for pushing the boundaries of representation of the arts, he has collaborated on installation projects with artists such as James Turrell, Ensamble Studio, Ai Wei Wei, Philip Glass, Mark di Suvero, Patrick Dougherty, and Stephen Vitiello. Alban's work also finds inspiration in his earlier research work at IRCAM and from his academically recognized research study of historical European music spaces for the Constellation Project. More recently, Alban was the director of the revolutionary Tippet Rise Art Center, where he led the planning, design and programming, and recognized by Time Magazine as “One of the 100th world greatest places to visit”.
